General Disclaimers

MMTetc

Marissa Macias, MMT is not a licensed physician or psychologist. Please be advised that Emotional Trauma Clearing (ETC) is not used to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any psychological illness or mental health disorder. ETC services do not include the practice of medicine, neither should they be considered as a substitute for licensed medical or psychological services or procedures.

ETC is considered a complementary or adjunct treatment option; therefore, it does not replace health care from medical professionals. This technique may bring to the surface other issues that need addressing, perhaps ones you were not aware of. If and when this happens, you agree to inform your practitioner as soon as is reasonable. Be advised that your consent to use these techniques involves your voluntary agreement to take full responsibility for your well-being and behavior and to indemnify Marissa Macias, MMT and her professional associations (Neurokinetic Therapy®, Proprioceptive-Deep Tendon Reflex®, etc).

ETC works with the power of the subconscious and conscious mind to change habits, behaviors, and the varied manifestations of pain and movement restrictions presented within the body; to effectively create improvements in everyday life.

While ETC may be an effective technique for many purposes, the effectiveness may vary from individual to individual, and no specific results or progress can be promised or guaranteed. During ETC sessions, clients remain completely aware of everything that is going on, but are not encouraged to verbally express any mental or emotional details of their current situation. While so far there have not been any reports of distressing side effects, it does not mean that you will not discover side effects for yourself. Be advised that your consent to use these techniques involves your voluntary agreement to take full responsibility for your well-being and behavior and to indemnify Marissa Macias, MMT and her professional associations (Neurokinetic Therapy®, Proprioceptive-Deep Tendon Reflex®, etc)

Note: those under the care of a physician or psychologist should not ignore their doctor advice for medical problems. Consult with your physician or psychologist before making any changes in his/her prescribed treatment.
